Flexible OpenD6 Attributes and Skills

Due to the variety of characters that might be created under this D6 system, some parity in the attributes is required. The character is split into four basic parts, Body, Mind, Personality, and Extranormal. The three former are split into power and control.

Strength (Body Power)
Dexterity (Body Control)
Knowledge (Mental Power)
Wit (Mental Control)
Resolve (Personal Power)
Charisma (Personal Control)

The Extranormal stats aren't typically split this way, but they might be if more than ten skills could easily be specified under that attribute.

There are four major types of skills. Typical (or default) skills, specializations, advanced skills, and cross-over skills. Every attribute has a skills list attached to it, and anyone with dice in that attribute can attempt to use them. They default back to the attribute value that they're usually under. A specific skill can have one specialization under it, purchased at half cost, and it does not improve when the skill does. Cross-over skills are bound to attributes that they wouldn't typically be found under. E.g. "Melee Weapons" could be trained as Dex or Str depending on whether a finesse style or a hacking frenzy is used. This only applies to trained characters. Untrained/Attribute-only skill use always falls to the default.
